Sand Tiger Sharks
Location - 'Dixie Arrow' Shipwreck - 95'ft. of water - 16 miles from Hatteras Inlet

Sand Tiger Shark (Carcharias taurus)
On this dive there were more than 100 Sand Tiger Sharks on this wreck.
They are the only known shark to surface for gulps of air. They store the air in their stomachs which allows them to float motionless in the water.
